Because the epistles are an exhaustive footnote to the gospels. I believe that not enough emphasis is put on those all-important words in red. What Jesus said and did should take priority over the teaching of the apostles. After all, it is the life of Christ that we are to follow. The epistles do tell us how to do this, however. I feel that too much emphasis is given to end times prophesy this day, rather than to living in Christ. Most TV evangelist are heavily involved in politics and getting rich, which is why I ignore them---they have sold out to the devil and are giving Christianity a bad name.

Because tho Jesus lived the gospel, his teachings were mostly meant for Jews. Paul was the one who gave the gospel a philosophical basis, and that was necessary for the Greco-Roman world beyond Judea's borders.
Paul is said to have received his ideas from Jesus Himself when he retired to the Arabian desert shortly after his conversion.

Paul was the key man God chose to reveal how we are to live in this church age, the age of living by grace through faith rather than under law as in Old Testament days. If you really want to know how to live by grace through faith, read and study Paul's 13 epistles-Romans through Philemon, Jame's, Peter's two and John's three epistles.
It is my prayer that you will do that.

Evangelists use the Roman road because that is the way to salvation. Jesus did not need to teach salvation when He was here because He was salvation. Paul teaches salvation!

No idea, I no longer consider Paul a Christian since it was he who started the whole men only church thing in Christianity, and it was he who started calling Magdalene a whore. But what really irks me is the plethora of preachers who focus solely on revelations like it is the only thing actually of worth in the babble that has become the bible.

Good point. Many Christian sects see the gospel as a sort of buffet table. They pick and choose and often base their entire belief system on just a handful of scriptures while ignoring the rest.

Want you to see that you are a sinful being that needs to be saved, thus needing a Saviour. Also some will use it to get some donations from you so it can also be monetary based.

Because, Paul INVENTED the CHURCH!!! Jesus (Yoshua bar Yosef) was (born, lived & died) a JEW.
The early "church" was of course as jewish as Jesus, but it seems that later they split up. Maybe these guys were ther first antisemites, who knows?
