Well! the atmosphere contains a few gases dat can retain d sun's rays.. bcoz of which d air becomes hotter than d normal limits.. such gases (called green house gases) are CO2, CFC(cholroflurocarbon) NO etc.. Of these CO2 is d most harmful.. that is why Afforestation is d best way to overcome all problems..

The earth goes through natural heating and cooling cycles. We are still emerging from an ice-age so things will naturally warm up. In fact, deep ice-core samples have proved that the consistent temperature we have been experiencing for the past thousand years or so is NOT NORMAL. That fluctuations are typically more dramatic than what we are experiencing....

So essentially, the whole idea is taken out of context to scare you for the benefit of a certain political party or financial gain of businesses.
