When I think of Japan and Japanese culture, I think of many things. The ones which *really* come to mind are:
Japanese cuisine - My favorite, especially when it's home-made. Had some Japanese friends visit and they cooked a "special" Japanese meal. Mmmm...
Computer games - Japan produces some excellent RPGs and also technology. I'm watching their "robotics" programs with interest.
Ninja/Samurai - These have fascinated me since I was a boy, especially the "Bushido" and their swords. I saw a program on Discovery about how their swords were made.
Language - The Japanese language has always been interesting to me. Tried learning it at some stage but couldn't quite "get it" and had to give it up because I moved location.
There are so many other things about Japan that I like, even though I've never visited it. The wife has and she has some very fond memories of her visit to Tokyo. The only thing I would say is "funny" (to me) about Japan is the possibility of robots following you around stores. Robbie Robot?

I live in Japan, and I don't think it's a 'funny' country! I never did, even before I knew what it was like!!
Japan is much cleaner than England (my home country,) and people are generally more polite - although English people are often a bit 'reticent' too, and can be viewed as 'stand-offish' by people who don't understand! That's something that England has in common with Japan!
; )
The only thing about Japan that I don't like is the rush hour trains! Everything else is either equal to the English version - although maybe different in some subtle ways - or it's BETTER than the English version!
The restaurants are great - I've noticed that most restaurants (except the posh ones,) are MUCH cheaper than an equivalent UK restaurant - the only exceptions are American-origin restaurants, like McDonald's or KFC, and Pizza restaurants - they're just as expensive as in the UK! I find that strange - I can buy a slap-up Chinese or Indian meal much cheaper here, but McDonald's is about the same...!! Maybe cardboard production costs are higher here in Japan...
?!?!?

One of the dreams of my life is to learn Japanese and go to Japan. The idea of mine about Japan is: technology, busy cities and romantic flowers. I don't know if I'm right, but I wanna find out! Concerning Japanese language, I think it's pretty difficult to learn...

I don't think of it as funny. I think all countries are unique and special in their own ways. Japan is cool. I like Japanese people.

I would love to go to Japan. I have a friend who lives in japan (she was our foreign exchange student) and I think it sounds cool. It seems to have a lot of differences from America. It seems very cutting edge.
