He has it on his arms, legs he gets it becomes brighter when he is in the sun. The daycare provider said he is the 4th one to get this and he is contagious. Doesn't seem to itch, or hurt him. He doesn't have a fever.

Well, if it is just a skin contact rash you can get rid of it by buying some over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream. Make sure he drinks plenty of fluids in order to flush out any infection, or whatever the underlying cause maybe. Talk to your primary care physician, and find out what they have to say. Also, if it seems to be some sort of bug bite and he is having a reaction to it, a small amount of benadryl may do the job!

Sounds like it could be impetigo. Here is an article about it. VERY common in childhood, and it is contagious. It has pictures you may want to compare with your son's rash.
