You guys are always going fishing or something stupid. Why?

Hi Leona..I am a fisherman of sorts. It is important for us guys to feel like the providers. We are by trait through our DNA natural born hunters. It is an instinct that needs to be addressed on a regular basis, sort of like mothering to a woman. It is also a way for us to relax, cause the testosterone really makes us stressed.

fishing is a commune with nature. Some people don't understand this but it calms us down. We can work through our thoughts and be more at peace. It's not all about the sport. Didn't you notice that your husband was more calm and peacful after a fishing trip? As for golf...I hate it and I don't understand why guys like it either.

Women have a lot to learn about men before their relationships can be really fulfilling. They need to learn that when a man is upset or stressed he will automatically stop talking and go to his "cave" (some men's cave would be fishing) to work things out.
The lesson is difficult for women because they have the need to TALK and be comforted when upset.
A man can go into his "cave" (or go fishing) for a variety of reasons.
1-He needs to think about a problem and find a practical solution
2-He has become upset or stressed. At such times he needs to be alone to cool off and find his control again.
3-He needs to find himself. At times he begins to lose and forget himself.
Women need to talk and Men need silence. It's as simple as that!

All men do not like fishing. It is not stupid. Its ok for people to have hobbies and other things to do. Take life and enjoy it. Maybe he goes so often to get AWAY?

For the same reason you women like to go shopping. We think shopping is stupid. Woman go out and spend hard earned money on worthless things they don't need.
At least we "can" eat the fish.

Because we consider it fun. You can relax and enjoy the scenery. And there is a satisfaction in landing a big fish, especially after the fight.

Fishing is fun and relaxing....just kick back for a few hours relax and drink beer....it's nice
