actual laws and concepts?

The poem on the statue of liberty was not made into a law. We are not required to take anyone into our country.

Teary-eyed sentiments make for great Time-Life picture books, but for a sad and distorted reality when you start discussing illegal immigration. Some people trash on the Minutemen, call em racist and worse, but frankly they've done a GREAT job of raising public awareness and interest in the subject of illegal immigration. On the east coast, I forget which city, but east coast anyway, they're passing city ordinances forbidding renting to illegals, and I think there's more cities that are going to follow suit.
This isn't racism, it's preventing our already heavily taxed infrastructure from being stretched to breaking by the continual absorption of one country's population into ours, that country being Mexico. Write your legislators today and tell em to pull their socks up on enforcement issues regarding illegal immigration. Well, don't say that, they'll throw the letter out, but make it clear that you're in support of measures that'll put a stop to illegal immigration. It IS against the law, and they're the lawmakers, so chop-chop, put it to a stop...

A law is legally enforceable in a court. A concept generally is not.
