First off, lets start out with your hair.
If you have curly hair, it needs lots of extra attention..without spending hours giving any.
- Go to Walmart with your kids and buy some Sunsilk..it will be in the hair and shampoo aisle. You can choose the one that fits your hair needs discription.
- Look through the hair care products and buy some Pantene Curl Definer (pretty cheap..around $6)
- Go to Great Clips or Fantastic Sam's and get a trip up, maybe some light brown or honey streaks, then ask about some hair defrizzer balm (around $5-7)
Now that your hair is all fixed up, lets go to the beauty department. Target has the best cheap makeup items..look for some purple eye shadow, and dark mascara and light eyeliner that looks good on your eyes.
Good luck ~ Elle

I have the same dilemma. I also have really thick hair but mine is dark blond and super wavy. I also put my hair in a messy bun or in a clip half up/half down. I only straighten my hair about once every two months. I do put on full make-up because I like the way it look. I would recommend trying a french twist, instead of a ponytail and as for make-up, at least put on some mascara, eyeliner, and a little blush and gloss and that will help. Good luck!

I had the same problem and I just had my hair cut in short layers up to my shoulders and it's a lot easier to manage. Today, I put curling product and pinned a few strands above my forehead and it looks pretty good. It's also easier to straighten because it's shorter especially if you use a flat iron, which is really worth having.
Now, it actually looks like I have a hair do!! It's really frustrating not to be able to do anything with your hair. I don't have kids, but I think it's a waste of good sleep time to get up early to straighten my hair.
Good luck and thanks for a good question.

I have the same problem with my hair. Next time you get your hair cut ask your stylist to use texturizing shears on the bottom half of your hair after its been blown dry. It will give you a wispy layered look while take out alot of the bulk at the same time. It will also help cut down on the frizz factor.
Happy styling Mama!!

As far as Make Up I really hope I can help. I would suggest taking a look at Mary Kay's website for new make up ideas. Try the virtual make over, its pretty fun, and is accurate for colors that look good on you and together.

try pinning it in a simple updo or get it relaxed at a salon. try chemicals at nighttime. also getting highlights or just dying it a differnt color will work. try a dark red.and also for makeup, do a smokey eye and a neutral lip shade

well- short hair is always an option- I LOVE short hair... so many women are afraid of it but if you have kids, and are willing to take a few chances with your makeup and jewelry- short can be stunning

Hmm, a busy mom, eh?
Sounds like the wash-n-go route for you, like a pixie or a short crop.
