I think we need to minister to the poor last souls like Bob the blessed beast.

Anyone for a good old fashined bucket brigade aiming at his hellfire and brimstone b---s---?

I think the best thing to do is ignore him completely. He will attract the militant Christians like some answering your question here but anyone who is sane will know he is either a troll or a nut. I hope! I think some Christians are so far gone the idea that there are any worthwhile people who don't believe their book is impossible for them or that if there are such people they are just waiting to be "saved". You can't have a discussion or even joke with these types.

Maybe though, we could answer his questions by just typing something like *splash*. =))

The guy needs to read his holy text in its entirety, and not just pick and choose which lines are right and which are wrong. I may no longer be Christian but I used to be like him then I took a good hard look at how I was acting towards other religions and was appalled by my own actions, and found that I was not truly 'Christian' becuase I had more of Spiritulist belief that slowly turned me towards Paganism. So if we have to can I fill the bucket with water, or is that someone elses job?

Although pittying him will make him question his own misguided view of Christianity. Which is another good option.

Unfortunately, it would do no good. People who believe in this fable are beyond hope. You can argue until you are blue in the face and they will come back at you with blind faith. So, as my father used to say about people like this, "Don't confuse me with the facts. My mind is already made up."

As a Free Thinking Indavidual, I shall consider myself as in on the ability to answer.
As a Free Thinking Indavidual, I choose that this question does not exist, nor does bob, nor do Pagans,Wiccans,Witches or Athiests. All of these are religions of man with the same influence and ill intentioned messages to convert thoughts to an agenda.
Since the question no longer exists, did it ever exist?

The best weapon freethinkers have is the simple act of living decent lives without depending on the threat of hell as a motivator. I try to be a decent person not because I fear damnation or because somebody's scripture says I have to follow certain rules, but because I want to try to be a decent person and do the right thing. I'm far from the only one.
Biblicals don't believe that it's possible for a person to be anything but evil without absolute adherence to their teachings. I say the rest of us can and should prove them wrong by our deeds.

Todd just wasted a whole lot of unread space!!!
I'll not look to the bible for advice on how to be good. I can handle that on my own.

Now to your question... My advice is that we should just ignore people like Bob the beast, if he really thinks god told him to convert the evil pagans, his own delusions have a more powerful hold on him than you or I can do anything about. Sad but true.

Blessings, W.

My bet is he had a miserable childhood. The guy is way way too angry.

And I have to side with Jim. There are two things that are going to shut him up.

1. Ignore him

2. Feel sorry for him. I mean real pity. When we react with anger to his posts it just gives him more drama, which he feeds on. Coming back with; “I’m sorry you feel this way. You know, I feel genuinely sorry for you. You’ve had a rough life. Is there anything I can do to help?” This will just stick in his throat like a fish bone.

Anyway, gotta get back to work.

Blessed Be

Pabs

Everyone is entitled to their opinion...even Bob. We wouldn't be setting much of an example if we attacked him in kind, would we? The nice thing about having opinions is that one of yours can be that Bob is a lost soul. I might even agree with you, but that doesn't make it right to act on our opinions in a harmful or hurtful way.

I think we should just ignore him. If we pay attention to him in any way, even negatively, we're giving him what he wants. Our attention, our time, our energy. Bob and others like him are not worth it. I am all for taking the high road and not sinking to his level.

just tell them you love them

imagine the power of telling a fundamentalist christian, i love you, i dont believe in the same manner that you do about god, but i love you, i am happy and at peace,

imagine flipping someones world upside down with love
