Stewardship is generally considered to be a view which sees man as 'overseeing' and 'caretaking' for nature rather than as a part of nature (which would be a more biocentric view). By placing humans in this position they are superior to nature, therefore the view is assoicated with a human-centered, or anthropocentric, view of conservation biology.
