Avoid foods high in salt such as canned food, ham, bacon, sausages, fast food, salted snacks (nuts and chips), pickled vegetables and salted fish. Avoid foods where 'sodium' appears early in the list of ingredients, as this suggests a high content of salt. avoid monosodium glutamate too!

High salt foods are bad. This includes most canned food and frozen prepared foods, unfortunately. ;-(

Anything that's heavy on fats obviously, less obvious: food that's salty or has high sodium.

Fats & oily foods + salt intake should be avoided. Check cholesterol profile periodically.
