Does God see into our souls and recognize if we are with him or not? I believe in God but i do not go to church. I pray and ask God for forgiveness, everyday, by myself, alone. I call on God with all the honesty that i can muster. Is this enough or am i still going to hell? To be honest with all of you i think it is enough because he has taken care of me and to many things have happen in my life that tell me i am on the right track. I would still like your imput though. Is personal faith enough to get into heaven?

Here's what Jesus said in Matthew Chapter 6 about prayer....

"Prayer
5"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 6But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
9"This, then, is how you should pray:
" 'Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10your kingdom come,
your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
11Give us today our daily bread.
12Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.[a]' 14For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins."

Faith and sincere devotion to God, however you perceive him, is a personal thing. Church is for communion with others of the faith and a place for learning, but if you're good with the solitary worship, I think that's cool with God.

Hope that helps.

Here's the thing. You shouldn't ask people if your going to heaven or hell. Only God knows the inner workings of your heart, only He knows all your thoughts and actions, and only He knows the answer to that question. If you want to get an idea of how you're doing, what else you need to do (because lets be honest - we all have serious room for improvement) try asking Him directly in one of your prayers. Ask Him if you need to go to church or not. I think this is important because no answer that anyone gives you here is going to reach into your soul like an answer from Him.

best wishes

I also do not go to church. I do believe in God or a Creator.
I believe if you live your life as good as you can and be kind to others and not judge where they are going when they leave this earth then yes God will know what was in your heart all along because God is the one thing you will not be able to lie to.

He knows your heart and mind inside out as He did create you....you cannot hide anything from Him so you might as well be honest always....do not feel a burden to go to church...I am Christian and I don't attend church...I find it very dull and unspiritual...as a Christian you are not bound to a church...just believing in Christ is enough....He does not require that you abide by man made rules and organizations....Christianity is not a religion....it is spirituality that is much higher than man's religion...I feel much closer to God when I am outdoors in nature and around people going about their everyday business and chores....such as a coffee shop or a park...I would rather watch people interact with each other and learn things about the subtle workings of God under a blue sky and clouds than sit in a cold bright lit room and watch somebody talk about living for God instead of living it.... find what you like....Christ gave us the freedom to find Him through whatever suits us best...God Bless

Personal faith is enough...the thing is, as a Christian, fellowship with other believers is desired. That is part of the reason the church was established. So while it is enough...faith is the basis of our salvation, at the same time, I highly recommend going to church, because Christian maturity will never develop unless you get taught by someone who knows more than you on the subject.

Yes he sees that. You must be very knowledgeable and have a deep understanding of God in order to go to heaven. You also have to abide by certain rules and regulations and have a pure heart to go to heaven. If you have sinned in the past and redeem yourself afterwards, then you can get into the gates of heaven. Just stick to what's right and you'll be fine. I know it's a challenge to stop old bad habits, but it will be worth it in the end.

The Bible says that God knows the heart of every man and woman. The spiritual heart of a person is the soul. God created it and God sees into every moment of every day. You can lie to yourself, you can lie to the world, but you cannot lie to God because he sees your heart and your heart expresses your true self. To get right with God you must get your heart right and that means allowing the Holy Spirit into your life so that he can witness Jesus Christ to you. Jesus says in John 15::5 "...with me ye can do nothing."

I have known many people who were kind, good people who had no religion but lived their lives honestly and lovingly who have died and I believe that they are in everlasting peace. Those who are religious (i.e. belonging to a faith) tend to believe that unless you are a part of THEIR faith, you are condemned. But, I believe in a loving, caring God/Goddess/Eternal consciousness that does not judge by what church you attend but how you live your life. Actions speak louder than words - yes, I believe personal faith is enough to attain everlasting life and peace; especially if it is followed up with proper (i.e. kind, loving, caring) actions.

The Bible says that Jesus will judge mankind, so I cannot. I can tell you what I know from the Bible. Those who believe will have eternal life. Those who are good will rise and have life forever, but those who have done evil will rise and be judged guilty. The Bible also states that God wants us to gather together to worship and praise the Lord in spirit and in truth. We should sing and dance to the Lord.

It would be better if you had full assurance that you belong to Jesus Christ and you will go to heaven when you die. I John 5:13 in The Holy Bible says: " These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." That assures us that we can be 100% sure that we have eternal life. If you do not have this assurance, read and do the following.
Jesus Christ Is the Only Way To Heaven!

In The Holy Bible, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6. He meant “I am the only way to God the Father and to heaven”, “I am the only truth that you need to know.” and “I am the only spiritual life available to mankind.” In other words, “I am the only true and living God.”
All other so-called gods are false gods. They are not real. They do not exist. No other so-called god has the power to forgive, cleanse and remove all your sins from you to get you to heaven. They don't even claim to.
I pray you will believe this and accept the fact that you are a sinner needing to be saved from your sins (“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 3:23, The Holy Bible.) and accept the fact that the blood Jesus Christ shed for you at Calvary is the only way you can have your sins forgiven, cleansed and removed and is the only way you can get to heaven. I pray you will acknowledge that you are a sinner and ask Jesus Christ to forgive, cleanse and remove all you sins and accept Him into your heart/life to live for Him the rest of your life. (“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” John 1:12, in the Holy Bible.) That is what it means to be born again. (“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3 in The Holy Bible.) Salvation is a free gift. You cannot work for it. You cannot be good enough to earn it. You must, by faith, receive it as a free gift. (“8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast.”) Ephesians 2:8-9.
God loves you and it is not His will that you perish in hell.
(“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” II Peter 3:9 in The Holy bible.)
This is my prayer for you
