i have a jade straightener, and even though my hair turns out straight its still...poofy. i want it to be perfectly straight and smooth. is a flat iron better for that or a ceramic straightener?? and it wont quit being frizzy. its always a little frizzy no matter what.

This is what you need to do. Go buy some Matrix cream it is in a orange type tube and they sell it like at hair salons or some beauty supply stores. When you get out of the shower towel dry your hair then comb it of course, and rub some cream through your hair. Blow dry and then Flat Iron it. Top it of with Matrix shine spray and walaa it should be beautifully straight. I had the same problem and Matrix worked for me. They have a whole straightning system. It is the Shampoo, Condittioner, cream, shine spray etc and it all works great. It may be a little pricey but hey if you want beautiful straight hair then it is worth it.

I also have frizzy hair. for a long time I thought it was dried out so I would keep cutting it, and I even stopped dying it. I have discovered a new product at Wallgreens, it is hair straightener for white peoples hair. you would do it every three months just like a perm. The one I bought cost $29.00 but it worked great. My daughter was so surprised with my results she wanted one too but I didn't want to spend that much money, I thought the price was a little high, so we went to Sallie's and ask the girl over the counter who was also a beautician, She recommended a product they had that was almost exactly the same and it was only $6.99. It worked as great. My daughter is so happy. I don't have to blow dry my hair anymore, and it is so soft. I even go swimming and exercise and no frizz. I don't know what a jade straightener is but you will be able to throw it away. I was afraid at first to chemically straiten my hair, but it turned out beautiful. I can also color it again with out it looking dried out.

When I straighten my hair. I use a real iron...like for your clothes....it works really good, it's never poofy, or frizzy or whatever...it does the same thing the 100$ straightener will do. lol

I have curly hair and I have never used a flat iron.
I use a round brush and blow dry it. Start at the root and bring it down with the brush.Take it piece by piece. do the back first. When you drop down another piece wet it witha spray bottle
I highly recommend matrix sleek look smoothing shampoo and conditioner

blow dry with a round brush. make sure hair is completely dry!!! then use a pocelain flat iron. smooth on bed head's after party. for really humid days use a little precision wax. only use a little but try to get it all over your hair.
