I am starting college soon and i will be there full time, i am not on benefits and my husband earns just above the required amount of what is considered a low household income, just wondered if anyone knows if i can get free eyetests, I don't wear glasses at present, but am getting a lot of headaches lately when i am reading. sensible answers only please, no time wasters, it is just a general question.

Places like optical express, Vision Express and 20/20 quite often have freebies

Ive worn glasses for 20 years and keep an eye out in the high street etc

If you're working with computers your employer should pay for an eyetest. I realise you're starting college but you don't say if you're working at present. You can also get free eye tests if you get working tax credit or if you're under 19. Also keep an eye out for freebie vouchers in the local papers and special offers in optician's windows!

i currently attend college and if you are under 19 and in full time education you can recieve free eye tests at specsavers, and if you then need glasses you can get glasses up £38 pounds any over then you have to pay the extra, your income or ema money if thats what your talkin about has no relation to getting free eye tests

if you go into any pharmacy they have a form known as a hc2 which you apply for its for people on low incomes and if you meet requirements you get free presciptions eye tests and i think help with dental aswell
