Are you also counting the air fare?? Cuz i know the TKT frm US to AU is almost 2 grand right now..

If your flight and accomodation are not included in the $5000 it should be more than enough.
If it is $5000 for the entire trip, I do not if it would be enough. $1500 for flights perhaps, then $3500 for 60 days = $58 per day for accomodation, food and transportation .. Should be doable with some serious cost cutting ...
