The Panasonic Lumix FZ7 is one of the best cameras on the market in your price range. It has the largest optical zoom of any non-SLR camera (12x). It has a 2.5" LCD screen with a High-Angle mode that allows you to take pictures easily in crowds. It also has a simple mode for beginners and a full manual mode for more advanced users. Its video is superb. Even better, it comes with a lens adapter and lens hood to minimize glare.
I bought this camera a month ago and am very pleased with it. I can take closeup pictures of things from so far away. It is light and small for the amazing zoom you get. I would highly recommend this camera.

I remember Beck and Ben Folds 5 were there. even with the undeniable fact that the spotlight became observing Neil youthful. He became between the headliners, and he got here on after darkish. save in concepts this became an outside prepare ... it had already began to rain and lightning. at the same time as he took the degree, a thunderstorm had rolled in, and the rain became pouring down in sheets, basically rolling down the auditorium floor like a waterfall and pooling in the front of the degree. Then a lightning strike knocked out the skill ... yet Neil kept taking section in! He did not omit a beat! the comprehensive auditorium became darkish except for some candles Neil had burning on degree, and he became crouched over his guitar, ripping through the solo to "Like a typhoon" -- how suited! absolutely everyone became attempting to assemble down through the degree, because the basically sound became coming from the degree video reveal instruments, which might want to were on some sort of backup skill. THAT became an excellent nighttime. i have been to about 50 stay shows, yet that became the superb.

Panasonic or Sony, steer clear of Nikon - they're no good for night time action shots (not in your price range anyway).
Check online for clearance bargains, especially eBay.
