Turkey is great. I live in Turkey. For Cappadocia, best time to visit is April-May and September-October. In summer it's very hot, and very cold in winter. Geologically it is the best place to see what can erosion make to a soft volcanic soil. It's full of history.

Yes, I have been to Turkey and it was really good! I went to Kusadasi which is a touristic place and I stayed in a perfect hotel called Pine Bay! The west Turkey is full of ancient Greek monuments which are so great! Ephesus, Militos an so many other... You have to go, it's really nice and they don't wear tissue, or how that thing on the head called.

Been to Turkey: Istanbul, Kusadasi, and Ephesus. Twice for those cities. Love Istanbul, one of the most beautiful cities I've been to. Nightlife vibrant, try the Havana area. Other points of interest there: the Grand Bazaar, cruising Borphorus River and ALL the big mosques.

yes i've been to Istanbul
it was a lot of fun, i was there during turkey's Independence day celebration by coincidence, if your from america you'll be srprised how cheap things are in the markets (cheap as in affordable not as in low quality)
turkey is actually a secular state, but is predominatly muslim,
istanbul is or was constantinople so alot of ancient christian history is there as well.

Turkey was one of my favorite places to visit...went to Istanbul and to the southern coast (on the mediterrean) to Antalya, Alara and Side. Great castles, roman style ruins, etc. Be careful driving, it is a little sketchy, but otherwise, a spectacular country.

beautiful...
went to Istanbul (a must see) and Marmaris.. also amazing!! don't miss it
the only annoying thing is shop vendors all trying to sell .. and cheap turkish men eying up everything that looks 1/2 female.. but once you learn to ignore them, you'll really enjoy yourself
