Ex-Christians were never really Christians in the first place. They should'nt be shunned, but True Christians should share the same messege with them, that they would share with anyone else. Here is the messege:

Have you ever lied, stolen, or used God's name in vain? It's appointed to man, once to die, then judgment. When you die, God will judge you by His Moral Laws. If you stand guilty before God on Judgment day, you will end up in Hell. The good news is that God is so kind that He provided a way for you to be forgiven and accepted into Heaven. Jesus Christ died on a cross and rose again to pay the debt for your sins. What you must do is Repent, which means to turn away from your sins, ask God's Forgiveness, and put your complete Trust in Jesus Christ. Only then will you be forgiven, and granted Eternal life in Heaven.

There have been some very good answers so far. I think, in general, that Christians are not in the habit of "shunning" people.

I can tell that you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord.

If you did you would know that a Christian is a new creation and can not now or ever recreate himself/herself.

In 2nd Timothy you will find that He says that you must study to show yourself approved to God.

Things happen when you study the Word and ask God to reveal to you the Hidden Manna. Things like, your faith grow, you are given new eyes to see with, and ears to hear.

Don't you want that? Don't you want to be presented to the Father through Jesus Christ as Perfect. Accepted and made to feel Loved.

Go now and do the right thing and then help your neighbor to do the same.><>

I don't think of them as traitors, they are responsible for their own thoughts and decisions. God judges them, not me. I know they will regret their decision someday. No, I don't shun them, I try to find out why they don't practice their faith anymore.

I don't shun them for the fact that they are "ex-Christians". Typically though, ex-anythings have a real chip on their shoulder and go out of their way to persecute whatever they were formerly affiliated with. And if someone is going out of their way to persecute my way of life...I'm probably not going to hang out with them on Saturday nights. Know what I mean?

I feel very sad for them, and pray for them. I don't see them as traitors unless they show traitorous behavior. I don't shun them because I love them, but I don't hang with them either.

Be careful of associating with backsliders. They can lead you down the slippery slope to hell!

Read the attached testimony of one Baptist man who encountered some terrible times, but narrowly escaped the fate of the ex-saved.

How do you know they are ex-christians? do they wear a sign? and it would not be very christian to shun them.

Do you mean x-church members?
I have seen x-church members shunned.
I don't know any x-Christians.
I don't think there is such a thing.
The belief that Jesus is God is in there. You don't know if it is or if it isn't. You can't see the soul.
It is God, the judge that looks on the soul, we do not. We look on the exterior.
WHAT IS IN THAT BOOK???? I only see the cover.
