Sounds like your PC might have Flash as the default sound player. Try this:
Click the Start button.
My Computer
Tools Menu
Folder Options
Click the File Types Tab
Navigate to the extension of the file you are trying to open - wav, mpg, avi, whatever it is.
Highlight that extension by clicking on it once
Click the Advanced button
Click Open once to highlight it
Click the Edit button
Click the Browse button and navigate to Windows Media Player (probably in the C: drive, under Program Files, then Windows Media Player)
Click on WMPlayer.exe and click Open
Click OK three times and close out of My Computer
Open the web page and try to play that file again.
Hope this helps

First find out the file extension of the sound file (e.g. wav, mpeg3) by hovering the cursor over the link. Next, open any Windows Explorer and go to Tools > Folder Options > click "File Types" tab > scroll down until you see the same file extension > click once to highlight it > click [Change] > scroll downl until you find Windows Media Player > [Apply] > [O.K.].
