I have a 3 1/2 year old panasonic tv/vcr combo. I lost the remote recently. What kind of remote control should I buy to replace it? Will any old universal remote control do the trick?

Most universal remotes should do the trick, but if you want if you want to replace the remote and possibly not ever loose it again ... then there is a huge 3-in-1 universal remote sold at Walgreen’s for $10. It is ridiculously large but it works and it also serves as a humorous conversation piece. Oh, ya ... it has the code settings for tv/vcr combos so there should be no problems.

I say look at harmony remote controls they have universal remotes that will operate all of your gear real easily . Takes a few to set up but is far superior to the radio shack or walmart universal remotes

will turn your TV on and off with your cable box and DVD player recorder, your receiver etc, automatically switch it to the channels you need for TV viewing , great fun and easy to use

A cheap Phillips Universal remote actually works great and can be programmed to a third thing such as DVD down the road.

most universal remotes will function with any set. you can check one out at a store like radio shack and see if the make and model of your set is listed in the package.
