It's all the salt. Salt has a tendancy to make one thirsty. Part of why a lot of bars and restaurants that have high cocktail volume tend to offer peanuts as a munchie...a.k.a Texas Roadhouse...they know you'll eat them and be thirsty and order alcoholic beverages, thus their sales increase.

It usually the salt around the salted nuts that does that...
but if it cashews...I would not be concerned about water until all the nuts are all gone.
