I am a 22 year old male, who has latey been having trouble with severe nausea. It can happen anytime or any place. It can be while sitting at home, sitting in class at college, etc. It's always the feeling of being VERY close to literally vomitting, but I never actually vomit. Personally, I'd rather just get sick and get it over with lol. Anyways, I've tried Coke syrup, pepto bismol, malox, etc. and none of them did the trick. They may have helped for a few minutes, but then the nausea was right back.

You should really go to the doctor about this. That's not normal. You don't say how long this has been going on but unless the nausea come from a hangover or eating the wrong foods, you should get it checked out.

You can buy some Emitrol at the drug store. It is for nausea and it does work.

Most of the medicines for motion sickness (phenergan, compazine, bonine, dramamine) cause drowsiness and groutchiness. One really good one is Zofran (ondansetron). This is a prescription-only medicine, so you would need to get a prescription from your doctor. Be careful about where you buy it - it has recently become generic and some pharmacies overcharge for it a LOT! One of our local pharmacies (Rite-Aid) charges hundreds of dollars, while another charges $4 for 20 pills, so if you get it, call first. The TransDerm Scop patch is good - you apply it to the back of your neck an hour before your flight. It lasts 3 days, so will be more than you need, but it also doesn't generally cause drowsiness. Ginger works for some people, and the "Sea-Bands" work for some.

You may have a gall bladder problem or gall stones. Go get checked out by a doctor. You are producing excess acid which may be causing reflux disease. (GERD gastro esophageal reflux disease). You need an Rx to stop producing the acid. OCs just have the temporary effect of counteracting the acid already in your stomach. They do nothing to stop you making more. This definitely is an indication of the need for medical help. Go get it.

You should go see a Dr of course, but I sometimes get a twirling sensation that almost makes me puke. I went to my Dr and it is caused from a hit to the head. They have a generic brand for Dramamine that works great you should try ask pharmacy they can tell you the name. Crackers also help until you take something for it. I know it sounds funny but it does work.

Dramamine is one of the best over-the-counter meds for nausea. You might also want to try drinking ginger ale and/or green tea. If all else fails, talk to your doctor and ask for a prescription for Phenergan -- stuff works GREAT!!!

You might have some stomach virus, I would recommend you change your diet for a while to lighter foods. Try Alkaselzer that might be better and drink lots of fluids. If that doesn't help seek medical treatment.

Try Gravol. You can get the non-drowsy pills that work for 12 hours, they're amazing. I get weird unexplained nausea sometimes too and it seems to help a lot.

Imitrol, it's over the counter at any pharmacy. No side effects. I use it about every other day. There are generic versions, too.

Best of luck...
