Supply and Demand --- so many people use gas to go to their various church services throughout the week. Sometimes multiple times. So, this causes demand to rise because they will need to fill up more often. This in turn drives up the cost of fuel and therefore leaves us needing to pay more for it.

If we had no more services people were going to every week/day etc. Would gas prices go down?

in this case supply and demand would cause gas prices to drop becasue of competition. If people were not driving their cars on Sundays and Staurdays for thos ealternative services and for Jewish peeps, then gas prices would go up!

What about the individuals who drive to bars every night and then drive home drunk? Are they causing the gas prices to rise? Are they also endangering lives?

Hardly, but let give 'em something to think about. Driving a car causes air pollution and to willfully contribute to air pollution would be a great sin, or?

No more so than people who go to the movie theater, or go out to eat, or go to the bar to meet their friends.
