To start with, I am a Theravada Buddhist.
I live my life day by day, I meditate, do good works, and show compassion to everybody I run into during my daily journeys.

I do not wrong people and I am honest in all of my encounters. I do not believe that a God exists and I have my doubts that Jesus did also, but I respect everybodies opinion.

Now after I die, what will happen to me according to you're faith?

Faith without deeds is dead. Ye shall be rewarded for thy works. And forgiven for thy lack of faith. Fear not, for the Lord loves all do-gooders.

You will still have the chance to accept God and Jesus in the next life. We continue our "journey" through eternity. We continue to grow even then. My Religion teaches that we will be in our prime of life so there will be no old or young. Some beleive there will be young that are there are the spirits of children who passed and they will remain the same until the parents return to finish raising them.

You have lived a good life so you will be fine. Some teach that to be "saved" you need to accept Christ and stuff like that. But even in the Bible that almost all Christian Religions use it states that the "truth" was removed from the earth do to wickedness and false teachings. SO what about all those people that were born and then died during that time? Are they forever lost just because they were here at the time the true religion was not?

Although I believe Mine is the true restored Gospel I don't believe that means we are the only ones that will be saved. The Bible teaches that 2/3 of the host of heaven chose to follow Christs plan and 1/3 followed Satan. The ones that went with Satan NEVER came to earth. So that would mean everyone here already accepted the plan. But through Eons of time things got split up and changed and that's when the true gospel was removed.

I can't even say I can prove Mine is the true one but that's what Faith means, a belief in something without all the tangible facts. For all we know we could both be wrong but I think that because of the life we chose and the way we treat others we will be given the chance in Heaven to know the "complete" truth. And will accept it as the next step in our eternal growth.

And as a side note to the few on here that seem to think that it is an automatic damnation for those that do not accept Jesus I challenge you this...

Read the Bible! It is filled with what he sees as one of the worst sins of man...VANITY! So have you not just committed this sin yourself by thinking you are far better than some just by the fact you accepted Jesus? Oh, and it also states we are Judged byour WORKS. So what have you done lately?

First off people cant make up religions at the drop of a hat. I don't have the slightest idea what kind of a Buddhist you are but hey to each his own that's what i say. It sounds to me like you are one step away from being a Christan. Your habits and behaviors sound very familiar. Perhaps the reason you haven't become a Christan is the fact that your lazy and prefer not to have to follow all the rules just the ones you like. Maybe you should give Christianity a try. To answer your question...If you do not believe in God and commit yourself to him in your heart you will go to hell Its as simple as that. Sorry if i burst your calm meditative bubble but that's just the way it is. Once again i would suggest that you give the faith a try. I am thinking if you enjoy your life now you will enjoy it even more with God on your side.

According to my faith - The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints, you and everyone will go to the Spirit World. The Spirit World is divided into two areas: Paradise and Hell. Everyone from the time that Christ visited and organized it (during the three days) is there. Those who have been taught & believe the full and true Gospel of Jesus Christ are in Paradise and teach the Gospel to those who for whatever reason did not have the fullness of the Gospel in life. Those not in Paradise are in Hell. They are then given the opportunity to accept it or reject it. If they accept it they can teach others the full Gospel of Jesus Christ until the Judgement Day. We believe that at the Judgement Day, people will be judged and given a place to be for all eternity that they will be the happiest. We believe there are three degrees or kingdoms of Heaven. Those who at the very least accept Jesus Christ as their Savior will recieve entrance into one of the kingdoms of Heaven. Out of all of the people who have ever or will ever lived, most will recieve entrance into a kingdom of Heaven. While there will be some who reject everything, there really won't be that many. But for those that do, they will be sent to Outer Darkness. All in Heaven will recieve some degree of glory, those in Outer Darkness will not recieve even a glimmer of glory and will never receive anything that is good. These are the worst of the worst, by the standards of God, not men.

I can not tell you where you will go, but as most people will attain some level of glory and to do so means they will be in Heaven, I would have to venture a guess that you will probably go to one of the kingdoms of Heaven.

(wonder how many thumbs down I will get for my response?)

It does not matter how many good things you do for people. Heaven is not a place where all those with compassion spend eternity.
Doing Anything wrong, even a mistake, makes you a sinner. If you are not perfected spiritually by Jesus' death, then you are still a sinner and cannot enter God's heaven. If you cannot enter God's heaven because of sin, you will be cast out of the presence of God, which is in itself the most horrific thing that can happen to a person. But you would also despair in the knowledge that you had rejected the gift of salvation that God offered to you. Perhaps you would remember a friend telling you that God would forgive you and you shrugging it off.
My Grandmother was a Buddhist, and to her dying day she fought, refusing to believe that she could be wrong. Unless she changed her heart, she is in hell. I don't want that to happen to you. Please believe that Jesus is the way.

May God bless you.

God will judge you, I am unqualified. (I think that you will not make it, but that is my thought)

Christianity is based on the Bible. The Bible is suppose to be the word of God. If the Bible is true then we need to believe and do what it says.

Two thoughts.

1) The Bible tells us about humans and dinosaurs (dragons, Leviaton, Behemoth, unicorns) lived togeater.
Evolution says they do not (I have not heard what other religons believe - you can email me and let me know what Buddhist believe). Yet there are many places that have human and dinosaur footprints in the same rock.
This shows that Evolution is wrong and the Bible is correct.

2) Number 1 was just based on logic, if you want to know if Jesus is real for your self, I suggest that you go to the Penticostal and Apostic Churches in your area (each church is different, so you may have to try several), ask them to pray with you, so that you will know Jesus. The people in these churches should be willing to pray with you (some will probably talk to you for awhile first).

Keep an open mind.

According to my faith, if you haven't accepted the gift of Jesus' sacrifice you will be eternally separated from God (hell). If you truly don't believe in God, you should be more concerned about what your religion says will happen to you. I don't know any thing about Theravada Buddhist. You should try reading the Bible with an open mind and maybe talking to several different clergy members in your area.

I don't know why you even asked this. You know they're going to say you are going to go to hell because you're not playing their little game. I hope you don't let anything anyone says here change what you're doing. Buddhism is far superior to Christianity, don't worry about what Christians think about such things. The Bible is a book of myths that could be very useful to people. But, now most of them have forgotten the stories are myths and act like they're real. Like the virgin birth; it was meant to describe a spiritual transformation, but has got turned around so much people think that Jesus' mother got pregnant by magic without ever having sex. Heaven and Hell were meant to be descriptions of states of mind, now people think they are going to burn in agony for all of eternity for saying the word ****. The best thing anyone can do in regards to religion is to study all of them. If you want to learn the origins and true meanings of the myths in the bible read Joseph Campbell. If you want to learn more about Zen/Taoism read Alan Watts.

I'm a Christian. You will burn in hell if you don't accept Jesus. that's all.

If you think you do no wrong that's called pride by the way. Consider this:
If you only sin (by God's standard) in word, thought, or deed, 3 times a day, by the end of a 70 year lifespan you will have committed 76,650 times. You can't pay that debt (the wages of sin is death).

God is perfect. He will not judge based on what is good, but rather what is sin. Any good you do comes from God anyway, so how would you think that you come out ahead? Giving back what's not yours is no great feat.

According to Catholic belief...you'll go to heaven cause you were a good person.

According to Christian belief...God will ask you why you should be in his heaven?

The exsistance of Jesus was documented in Roman history prior to the conversion of the empire to Catholicism, and some Native American cultures even recorded a holy man named Jesus before settlements of whites. I not only believe Jesus walked the Earth, but that he is God incarnate, and shed his body's earthly blood as final atonement for those of us who do not always meditate and do the right things as you do. However, I agree that Buddhist ideology is very much that of what Christ taught...probably because truth can be found. There are millions Buddists who have converted to Christianity, because the truth becomes visible in their meditations.

I am not God, so I cannot judge you or tell you what will happen when you die. I can only quote my knowledge and understanding of the Bible. John 3:16 says that everyone who believes will have eternal life. John 5:19 says that all will rise from their graves and be judged. Those who did good will rise and have eternal life, but those who did evil will rise and be judged quilty. I live my life as both a believer and follower of the teachings of Jesus. I behave in a manner that I believe pleases the Lord. I believe I will enjoy eternal life.
