A couple of reasons come to mind:
1- some of them are really searching. About 15 years ago, I was in college, I was told that there was a missionary coming from another country to preach about Jesus to Americans. At the time, I thought that it was strange. I had this strange thought that most Americans are Christian. In reality, we are not. Christianity is only about 20% of the world's population, and only slightly higher than that for america (I think about 35%). Granted I think every human has heard of Jesus, but that is it. I think they really do not know who He is.
2- Some are just bitter people. I don't mean this as an insult, but some people have a bad experience in religion, and decide God is crap, or some stupid belief like that. God did not cause their pain. In fact, He has been there to support them for their whole life, but they can not see it. How sad. You should also note that even in their anger, they show their lack of knowledge. I also think that they also show (even though no one would admit to this) that they WANT to know about Jesus. If you are mad about something, that means that you care about it. If you did not care, you would express indifference.
3- this third category isn't about the asker. This one is about God. I have a little theory about why God allows those questions. They allow Him through His followers to minister to others and tell them how much God loves them. Isn't God awesome? Amen
God Bless,
Vic

There are so many ignorant questions because people are ignorant. I am surprised myself by how out of touch people are with the knowledge of God. When I was growing up, even bad people believed there was a God. Today, it seems like people today would rather put their faith in the environment or some false belief system and come back as another life form or whatever. It was predicted in the bible years ago that people would become more educated but be ignorant of God.

I see your point but not every believes what you do. To me part of christianity is trying to answer questions that non believers may have, but whenever i ask a question i am met with statements of 'god hater' or simply people stating i am 'stupid'. I feel that the characteristics that make christianity a good thing are being lost and thats why I stay a firm atheist.

1. Since ASKING a question leads to a reduction in points, trying to earn points is clearly not the motive for asking questions.
2. This is a SECULAR nation - i.e. non-religious.
3. People ask questions to learn, so if they are asking ignorant questions, then I guess it's a good thing they are trying to get some answers.
4. Less than half the planet's population believes in God. That means that the majority don't worship him. It makes sense, then, that a lot of people don't know much about him.

Actually, I come from good solid pagan stock, being Welsh.
And America is not a Christian nation. The founding fathers were predominantly deists.

Yes, the same thing is said by the group called god hates fags.
America is a free country and people can believe and do what they want to do.
What if god doesnt exist? All your beliefs and aims as a nation would be in vein.

What would seem obtrusive to one individual won't be to a distinctive. youth asking 'would desire to I be pregnant from something that has no way in hell of having me so' get on my nerves, yet informing them they'd't in many cases shuts them up. they do no longer choose to flow to an grownup and enable them to appreciate they are experimenting for worry of reprisal or worse. they're going to do those issues besides, extra advantageous they understand the thank you to do it effectively interior the destiny. no one reported you may desire to respond to or perhaps examine the query, yet why no longer? answer actual and get the factors. If human beings proceed to be uninformed they're going to proceed to ask 'stupid questions'.

No question is an ignorant question. Some questions I don't think I would ask on here, but I would refer them to a pastor or preacher if I want to know the truth.

True ignorance comes from people like you. If you know anything than you know we are doing exactly what we are supposed to be doing. If we do not polute this world with other things than we will never fullfill the final destiny of the world and the end of this world will never come. Revalation talks of a time when the world will be so poluted by the pagan ways of man that all will be cleansed and the world as we know it will end. If we all were perfect still than none of this would need to happen.

Ignorance is a lack of knowledge. Just because people don't believe in chirsitianity that does make them ignorant. People in the United States have freedom of religion and are free to worhsip however they wish or not at all. I myself am agnostic I consider the possibility that there may be a higher being but I am just not sure. If you wish to spread the word of God than I think that is fine but you still have to respect other people's views.

america is not a christian nation. it was founded by people who happened (i use this word loosely) to be christian and couldn't help putting that spin on everything because that's what they were...christian. america does not declare an official religion because that would usher in denying rights to non-believers of christianity...which would be unconstitutional.
