the answer is in the question. Because they are being deceiving. That is why we have to be decerning and no whether a spirit is good or evil. Angels speak to us too. Generally if it is a good spirit or of God you feel a sense of peace around it. If it is not there is no sense of peace and there may be a sense of anxiety or fear. I know if the spirit appears as a dead loved one then it may be less likely that you would fear it but you have to pray to be able to know what it really is.

Believing in ghost as dead loved ones means contesting or disbelieving God when He said that dead man NEVER RETURNS (Eclesiastes 9:5-6).
If they reveal themselves, you will no longer believe that your loved ones can return and thus, by implication, you will agree with God, then, those decieving spirits lose.

Spirits in general are not ""demons", spirits or ghosts if you will are people who have recently passed, a few who don't want to go, are afraid, or don't want to leave where they are.
Aliens have nothing to do with spirits.

Well then they couldn't decieve (lie to, fool, make a fool of, mislead) anyone, could they? They're in the business of LYING, honey...it's what they do. Satan is the father of lies, so they learned it at their daddy's knee or some other low joint.
Nobody would listen if they knew it was all a lie.

Because of thier deceiving nature. The demons you speak of are no more than the devils angels who were kicked out of heaven with the devil and chained to this earth.
