it seems so...let me go dig a couple up.
--These are from today:
"He Created you, you have nothing to do now, sooner or later, you MUST Die... And you will recall what you said in Yahoo! Answers... try to repent... no no no ... time has come... HELL Only!!!"
"Umm, sorry dude, but you're going to hell. No offense. But you could go to heaven if you became a Christian."
--This isn't about hell, but it's just scary:
"the kingdom of the LORD JESUS CHRIST shall prevail!!!
WE SHALL KILL ALL THE HEATHENS AND INFIDELS AND CLEANSE THE WORLD.
KILLING AN INFIDEL IS NOT MURDER! IT'S A PATH TO HEAVEN.
PRAISE THE LORD!!!!"

No I don't. I'm not God. And don't intend to take on the such a responsibility. God has already given me a full plate to contend with. I worry about me and mine. If some one really pushes my button and makes me so upset I can't see strait. I don't condemn them to this degree. I only avoid them until things either cool down or they are no longer in MY life to make me feel such anger or pain. Like you, I have heard people say this with such ease. I suppose they do enjoy it. But out of ignorance. When I was a teenager, I had a wonderful instructor who lectured me on the word dam*. He told me that you are condemning this person to hell when you say "dam* you". And then he ask me, if I would truly take satisfaction in watching them suffer severely physically and mentally for eternity? Who knows we may at the end see the ones we have condemned to hell. And then suffer the consequences of watching the brutal eternal life we have wished upon them. Now THAT would be hell for me as well!! No.... what I was taught by this intelligent instructor put a scare into me.... enough to control my temper and be careful as to what I say and wish on anyone. Even to my worse enemies!!

I don't believe in Hell, but I guess these people do get some satisfaction about telling others that they are going to Hell. Kinda like, "I'm perfect and you aren't" Won't these people be surprised one day when they realize there is no Hell...ha ha

Good question.
I seem to get that from what I see.
People really enjoy that.
I don't know why.
Maybe it makes them feel better about themselves.
We as people don't have that knowledge of where a person is going.
I'm glad I don't.
I have met many people that have said horrendous things to me.
The judgment is God's not mine.
If it were mine, that would be a different story.
I don't feel that the "scare-em into the kingdom theory works."
I have read the Bible a lot and didn't see Jesus use that tactic.

I'd much rather tell someone about God's saving grace, and love for us and that He wants us to have a relationship with Him and dwell with Him in heaven for eternity. Unfortunately, some people don't accept that, or think they have plenty of time for that later, and there are no guarantees of one more second of life, let alone more time to accept Him as your personal savior, and they need to be warned that if they enter eternity without His salvation, they will spend it in a very real hell.

Since I am an atheist, I've never told anyone that they're going to hell.
But do the people who DO tell others that enjoy it? Oh HELL yes!

I don't tell anyone that they're going to hell. That's not my job. Jesus will judge all of mankind. I don't want anyone to go to hell either. I would prefer that everyone believed in the Lord and led a good life so we could all enjoy eternal life.

That's a pretty good question. I think they do enjoy it because that is the kind of evil douche Christianity turns people into. Brainwashing children with this garbage is child abuse. Christianity/Islam/Judaism are unmitigated disasters and the world would be a much better place had they never existed.

I dont think that anyone would enjoy saying this. In fact, most people are too afraid to even mention Hell to a non-believer. Yes, we do know that Hell exists and that people who do not want Jesus (which means they also don't want Heaven, because thats where Jesus is), then they choose to go to the alternative - which is Hell. Satan decided that he did not want to follow Jesus, he wanted to rule himself and in that he couldn't be in heaven anymore, He was put in Hell to rule over.
in answer to your question, though.....NO. I do not think that ANYONE gets satisfaction out of telling someone that if they don't have a personal relationship with Jesus they are not going to be in Heaven but in Hell.

Maybe it's more of an exasperation in an attempt to help.
It may not be a satisfying statement but more of a "to each his own" but look out.
But some may enjoy saying it just to see it in print.
Just a few on both sides of the coin.
