first i have to say that quran was revealed to prophet mohammad who couldn`t read or write 1400 years a go in arabia.<< **this part can be interesting for Christians and the Jewish :It is mentioned in the book of Isaiah chapter 29 verse 12 :"And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.">>
the spritual and moral content and the devine beauties of the quran is so attractive that most people become muslims because of
the strong love between themselves and the one god(god of ibrahim, jesus, moses and others who is one god and has no partners or son or daughter), it is a book that when recited moves people to tears. a book that is memorised completely by millions of people
but some people are after proofs , they cant have faith easily, they are after signs
if you are like them,I want to share with you just some of the many many miracles of the quran.

WORD REPETITION IN THE QURAN

keep ind that quran is considered by arabs whether muslim or NOT as the greatest piece of arabic literature, and and it was impossible to just add or delete words in order to get these balances.

The word "land" appears 13 times in the Qur'an and the word "sea" 32 times,
If we add up the total words of both "sea" and "land" we get 45 , the calculation:
32/45 X 100% = 71% = percentages of Water (Sea) in the world
13/45 X 100% = 29% = percentages of Land in the world

The statement of "seven heavens" is repeated seven times. "The creation of the heavens (khalq as-samawat)" is also repeated seven times.

"Day (yawm)" is repeated 365 times in singular form, while its plural and dual forms "days (ayyam and yawmayn)" together are repeated 30 times. The number of repetitions of the word "month" (shahar) is 12.

The number of repetitions of the words "plant" and "tree" is the same: 26

The word "payment or reward" is repeated 117 times, while the expression "forgiveness" (mughfirah), which is one of the basic morals of the Qur'an, is repeated exactly twice that amount, 234 times.

When we count the word "Say," we find it appears 332 times. We arrive at the same figure when we count the phrase "they said."

The number of times the words, "world" (dunya) and "hereafter" (akhira) are repeated is also the same: 115

The word "satan" (shaitan) is used in the Qur'an 88 times, as is the word "angels" (malaika).

The number of times the words "man" and "woman" are repeated in the Qur'an, 23, is at the same time that of the chromosomes from the egg and sperm in the formation of the human embryo. The total number of human chromosomes is 46; 23 each from the mother and father.

The word "salawat" appear five times in the Qur'an, and Allah has commanded man to perform the prayer (salat) five times a day

4-or in the qoran it is said that the universe is ever expanding which has been proven in recent years

5- it said there is cure in eating bee`s honey and it has been proven by doctors that honey has this effect

6-it said that sun and moon are rotating and it has been proven that they are rotating around their axeses

7-it is also mentioned that the earth is egg-shaped, not spherical, a fact which was recently discovered;

8-it empfesizes that God will put together in perfect order the very tips of our fingers in the day of judgement when he recreates our bodies, and recently
sientists discovered that fingerprints are unique to ones identity, yet the Holy quran empesized that 1400 years a go.
"Does man think that WE Cannot assemble his bones? Nay, WE are able to put Together in perfect order The very tips of his fingers."

dont forget that qoran says that christianity and judiasm was from
god too but prophet mohammad was the last prophet for mankind ,who had the
the same message that jesus and moses and abraham and other propohets had.
and that is to worship one god without partners.

*to non-muslims: what do you say about the miracles( they are too many to be coincidenses )?
* to muslims : why do they ignore the clear facts and proofs?

To rhsaunder:
I dont know what book you read, or what verse are you talking about in" crushing chest ", but maybe it was not refering to what the auther thaught. so it was a misundrestanding and misintrepeting of a one verse of the Holy quran by the auther of that book.but what about the examples I provided??

to green:
ok , even if the percentages change lets say in 2000 years from now, it will always be a miracle that these words represent the right percentage of land and sea "in the
time of the revelation of Quran"
and now we are 1400 years later and the percentages are still right.

again to green:
no the holy quran is unchaned
there many copies of the Quran in the world now, some are very old and some are new .
they are all exactly the same , there is not even a single word that be different.

2006-08-25 04:43:06 · update #6

and there were alot of his companions that used to write the verses when they were revealed to prophet mohammad and some used to memorize it . then they used to make lots of copies of the writings and prophet mohammad checked them to be all
correct .and the memorizers checked too.
and God said he will protect the quran.
so it is the same as it was revealed to prophet mohammad. and the miracles confirm it .look if there were changes to Quarn some of the mathematical miracles would be distroyed. but God will always protect the quran his final message to mankind from changing.

This is silly. I read the thing twice, cover to cover, and was particularly looking for references to phenomena that could be checked scientifically. There was not a single one. I also read a book discussing what purported to be the scientific proofs of the Qur'an; it was total garbage: the "science" was misapplied, or simply wrong. Example: the "crushing of the chest" purported to show the diminution of atomspheric pressure with altitude: any licensed pilot (I am one) knows the physiological effects of altitude, and that is not one of them: you get confused, then sleepy, then pass out, but it is not painful.
Although I did not find any science in the book, I was also on the lookout for errors, and found some. The notion that the book is of divine origin is absurd.
Your post would have been more interesting had you included specific references to the items cited.

This isn't proof. Just a large collection of coincidences. Some are fairly impressive, admittedly (I especially like the water/land one). But it's nothing that occurs outside the realm of possibility.

Just because something's unusual or doesn't have a visible explaination doesn't mean it's true.

The Bible Code, for example, is a system whereby the letters of the bible are arranged in rectangles and words or phrases are located that are independant of the original text. There is freely available software to do this. There have been matrices (what the rectangles are called) found that appear to predict 9/11, the assassination of Rabin, etc.

However, funny enough, the largest and most detailed matrix ever found was relating to Princess Diana's fatal car crash in france. It's funny, because, it wasn't found in the bible. It was found in a copy of Herman Melville's "Moby Dick".

According to your logic, Moby Dick must be divinely inspired.

For the land and sea "miracle". You get your percentages from where? Man? And is man not fallible. Even worse, do you honestly believe that that percentage of land has always been and will forever be the same? You need to study.

I could go on with this and show you even more holes in the "miracles" but instead.....

The quran itself is full of mistakes. So many claims that islam has the original one, yet there were MANY draft copies to begin with, that eventually got folded up in to one....more than 150 years AFTER muhammed. Then they burned all the previous orders and anyone who would be caught with anything but the new and improved version would be killed. To this, islam refutes that there were thousands of men who had memorized the quran and is how it kept its original form, but they put themsleves in a circle by doing so. These islamists believe Adam was not made as a perfect human in the beginning (contrary to the REAL truth) and say that NO man has ever been perfect. So now, they depend on these thousands of men to be able to memorize an entire book, and remember it all correctly word for word. You can take a table of people in a line, whisper something in their ear about two or three sentences, and have them whisper it in the next person's ear. By the time it gets to the end of the table, it is vastly different from the original. So, for the quran to TRULY be original.....
1. All these thousands of complete book memorizers would have to be perfect so as not to distort even a single word from one to the other.
2. They would have to have lived to be over 150 years old or faced the difficulty in finding other "perfect" humans to pass the memorization to.
We know neither is true.

Islam continually goes around in circles.....
Proving Allah by the Qur'an and then proving the Qur'an by Allah.
Proving Muhammad by the Qur'an and then proving the Qur'an by Muhammad.
Proving Islam by the Qur'an and then proving the Qur'an by Islam.

Round and round you go!!!
We have already taken the quran out of the picture as to its claim of being the original unchanged words. The defense is GONE!!

On a final note...
Islam's origins have been traced back by scholars to the ancient fertility religion of the worship of the moon god which was always the dominant religion of Arabia. The moon god was worshipped by praying toward Mecca several times a day, making an annual pilgrimage to the Kabah which was a temple of the moon god, running around the Kabah seven times, caressing an idol of a black stone set in the wall of the Kabah, running between two hills, making animal sacrifices, gathering on Fridays for prayers, giving alms to the poor, etc. These were pagan rites practiced by the Arabs long before Muhammad was born. What religion today practices the pagan rites of the moon god? Islam! This explains why the crescent moon is the symbol of Islam. It is placed on top of mosques and minarets and displayed on hats, flags, rugs, amulets and even jewelry. Every time you see the Muslim symbol of a crescent moon, you are seeing the ancient symbol of the moon god.
Some Muslims have claimed that the word "Allah" is in the Bible because the Biblical word "Allelujah." They then mispronounce the word as "Allah-lujah" But "Allelujah" is not a compound Arabic word with "Allah" being the first part of the word. It is a Hebrew word with the name of God being "JAH" (or Yahweh) and the verb "alle" meaning "praise to." It means "praise to Yahweh." The Arabic word "Allah" is not in the word.
The same error is found in the Muslim argument that the word "Baca" (Psa. 94:6) really means "Mecca." The valley of Baca is in northern Israel.
The present meaning of a word is irrelevant to what it meant in ancient times. The word "Allah" is a good example. When confronted by the historical evidence that the word was used by pagan Arabs in pre-Islamic times to refer to a high god who was married to the sun-goddess and had three daughters, some Muslims will quote dictionaries, encyclopedias, etc. to prove that "Allah means God." They are thus using modern definitions to define what the word meant over a thousand years ago! What "Allah" means now has no bearing on what it meant before Muhammad.
