Dear friend, first convert the flv format to mpeg/vcd format.the simplest way to convert it into vcd format dvd player support this format and write in cd instead of dvd because making a dvd video disk playable in dvd player more complicated and need some special software.

Check the CD that should have come with the DVD drive when you purchased it. Normally it will have player software on it.

i use VLC for all video formats including dvd
its free to use http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
if you have xp installed, the dvd will play via windows media player.
