What's wrong with men? Why do men at bars hit on women, and at the same time wear their wedding ring?

My experience has been that men always think a women is interested in them. If you look at a guy, talk to a guy, smile at a guy, toss your hair back or any number of things, guys automatically think the girl is interested. I hear my guy friends say this all the time. I find most guys have no clue and think if a women gives them the slightest acknowledgment they like them. If she's mentioning a bf then I'm sure you read the signals wrong.

It is your perception that those women are showing that they are interested. They may be flirtatious and looking to have fun, but that doesn't mean they are out looking for sex. Some women go to bars for other reasons that to pick up and be picked up by men like you. As for the other part of your question, women mention they have a boyfriend to protect themselves for the approach of men who may not understand that they are not at the bar to be picked up.

If you run across one of these women and she tells you she has a boyfriend, move on. Find another woman to chat up. The last thing you should allow yourself to become is one of those guys for whom the Doors sang "women seem wicked when you're unwanted." Don't let yourself become one of those angry, woman-hating dudes.

Men show they are interested and FORGET to mention that they are in a relationship.

Uh, ever hear of FLIRTING? Also, it's a good way to get rid of a man if they decide they don't wish to continue talking to him! Called the "Brush Off". Stop looking for women in bars, find different avenues....you'll get what you pay for...

Because they like the attention you are giving them at that moment. They are flattered but they do not want to lose the relationship with thier significant other. At least she is telling it to you straight instead of playing games.

You may just be taking the signs wrong. Are you mistaking friendliness for interest? You could be mixing them up. Both genders also flirt for fun too, keep that in mind.

There is nothing "wrong" with the woman. The first thing to go when drinking is judgement. This is not for just the ladies, booze does not discriminate.

Would you rather them not mention it and then find yourself in a position where you are facing an angry boyfriend who is"nt only pissed off but twice as large as you are?

They don't want any thing long term. They already have somebody in their life. Also may be they don't want you to get closer. It would be unfair if we start getting judgemental and generalize however these could be the possibilities
