No actually, you can. I live in Italy and it's a crime to buy fake designer stuff. You can get a really big fine if you're caught buying fake items off the illegal vendors that roam the beaches or set up makeshift stalls on the streets, so beware!!

You can't get in trouble or busted for buying something that is fake, the person who is selling the fake bags is the person who is going to get busted. not you!

You can get fined - heavily - if you are caught purchasing fake items from these 'street vendors'. By purchasing these black market items, you are helping an illegal market flourish and hurting honest companies. And using the excuse, "I didn't know it was fake!" is not going to help you.
