she walks off balance and breaths very heavy. She is still able to eat but has to be fed because she falls over on her own. She hasn't had a regulare bowel movement since she's been feeling this way. I took her to the vet they gave her antibiotics and steroids for 10 days and she got better while she was takeing the meds. But once they stopped she started all over again. They took blood work but found nothing wrong with her. Is there anything that i can do to help my tiny? She's about one year old and this is the first time this has happened to her. Does anyone have a solution to my problem?

If the vet doesn't, the people here sure can't help you.

Sounds to me like she is hypoglycemic. Have you taken her in during one of these episodes and had her blood sugar tested? I think you need a new vet. At the very least call this one and let them know she isn't doing well. She could have a liver shunt, she could have all kinds of problems that require more than one set of tests. If this vet was any good your dog would be in the hospital running a variety of tests. Please see a specialist or another vet. An internal specialist is what you need. There should be a specialty clinic in your city if you live in a fairly large city. If not I'm sure there is one within a hundred miles. Or a University teaching clinic. Start calling. This pup could die on you. In the interim give her some karo syrup and see if she perks up. Or some honey.

If she is having this problem b/c of lack of calcium it could have something to do with the food she is eating. Some dog foods don't provide certain amount of nutrients that a young dog such as your needs in order for her to grow healthy and strong. If a diet change doesn't work try giving her warm or cold milk to help fill in the missing calcium in her diet. I am very sorry for your dog and I definetly hope that she gets better.
