You may be hanging on to a dang good dream. A deeper form of sleep occurs near wake up. In that deeper sleep we can have great, vivid dreams that last for days or weeks . . .not bad dreams, necessarily, but rich, fulfilling dreams. Try to remember that dream when you wake up next. Then, let your conscious mind work on it during the day, too, so that it'll resolve faster when your unconscious mind starts dreaming about it in the wee hours before wake up. And, don't you dare laugh at me. I've just watched about a million children sleeping in my life and I'm pretty close with a possibility for why you are having trouble waking up, weird as it sounds.

1. drink water before going to sleep
2. set a few alarm clocks (at least 1 far from your bed)

and if all fails give Snoozester.com a try. I use the Secureawake feature (in addition to my 3 alarm clocks) and somehow I manage to wake up on time!!

first of all, you don't mention how many hours you're getting... you really need 7 or 8 second of all there are a few things you can do ...one make sure your bedroom is dark and quiet, two, make sure you aren't drinking any coke, tea, coffee, anything with caffeine, even chocolate, two hours before going to bed, and ,make sure your bedroom is not too hot or too cold it should be a little on the cool side to sleep best.also it sounds really stupid i know but you can either drink decaffeinated chammile tea or warm milk .

Drink Hot milk before sleep. Before going to sleep tell your mind that next day you will wake up early (no jokes, it works)

What I do is try to think of something to look forward to each day. Make sure you are getting some exercise. Take a walk each day and eat plenty of veggies, too.
