If you are a catholic you will see Jesus as the son of God, the Messiah.
The muslims do know Jesus in the Koran, as a prophet. The Jews know Jesus as well but do not see him as the Messiah...They are still waiting on their Messiah.
As you see Catholics, Jews and Muslims have very much in common, that is why I do not understand why all the fighting is about.
Buddists and Hindoes have a religion that has its origin somewhere else and not in the Middle East as the other three religions.

I am a Theravada Buddhist and in our faith/philosophy we view Jesus Christ as
a character, more likely than not, a fictitious one. But we see the philosophies in which were wrote in his name to be peaceful and loving ones. Only if Christianity followed him according to thier Bible, then many horrible atrocities could have been avoided.
I know that the practitioners of Islam believe that Jesus was a great prophet, and a very knowledgable man.
I know that the Jewish people believe that Jesus Christ was just an ordinary man with some revolutionary philosophies, but not the Messiah.
I know that the Zorastrians have no comment on Jesus, but doubt his existence.
I know that the Hindu's do not bother themselves with such questions.
And I know that the Agnostics and the Atheists really don't care.

There are as many different views of who Jesus is / was as there are religious opinions. To the Jews and Muslims that believe he existed at all, he is connected to their faith either as a prophet or a learned teacher. To Buddhists, he is not connected to their faith but many recognize his teachings as spiritually correct. Those are only generalized statements. Ask 100 people of even a single faith, and you will probably get at least 80 different answers. As with so many questions of religion, belief in who / what Jesus is / was, is a matter of faith and therefore open to personal interpretation, as it should be. In the end, no preacher will be at our side to face the Lord. Only you alone with your life and your faith.

for muslims, jesus is from the most close prophets to the god .Thease prophets are MOHAMMAD JESUS ISSA IBRAHIM and ADAM. I don't know what do you call issa but he is the prophet of jews . You have to know that muslims don't consider mohammad or any other prophet as a god because they believe in only only one god who created evry body and evry thing . And of corse he created jesus , jesus , mohammad , adam and all the prophets are human beings. God dosen't have a son . Accordindg to him people are too much more than sons. God loves people more than their mothers do.Also you have yo know that muslims beleive that jesus is still alive till now because when JEWS TRIED TO KILL HIM AND TO PUT HIM IN THE "SALIB" GOD SAVED HIM AND HE IS NOW IN SOMEWHERE IN THE SKY ALIVE AND HE WILL GET DOWN TO EARTH 40 YEARS BEFORE THE END OF THE WORLD TO KILL AN EVIL MAN WHO PRETENDED THAT HE IS JESUS AND HE IS NOT GOING TO BE IN THE SIDE OF CHRISTIANS BECAUSE THEY CHANGED BIG PARTS FROM THE BIBLE AND THIST'S KNOWN BY HISTORY AND BECAUSE THEY MADE HIM A GOD AND A SON OF THE GOD SO MOST OF CHRISTIANS WILL BELIEVE JESUS WHO'S GONNA ASK THEM TO BE MUSLIMS. What am sure about is that we the muslims love jesus so much and respect him we would never make jokes on him by paintings or carecature or any thing else like christian do . i don't know why christians do this since they thing jesus is their god. I will never expect them to respect mohammad like we respect jesus. I mean some of them didn't respect their own prophet or god let alone our prophet mohammad. I know that some of them do but most of them do not even believe in him.We also respect mariam too mutch and we believe that she is the mastress of the ladies we even try to act like her. The god ordred us to have a good relation ship with christians and jews. if this relation is not very good so that's not because of us and you can see the proove when you open the TV at 11 and watch the news.

I actually don't know. I can't really say I believe that Jesus was God, because I'm not sure about that.
One thing I've thought about, though. If Jesus did exist, he was probably some kind of philosopher. Maybe even a healer. But in my opinion (and this is just my opinion, mind you), he was just a regular guy who a lot of people believed in.

Muslims; Buddhists and Hindus, amongst other religions, consider Jesus to be a very important prophet. Hebrews don't, because they believe he made a false claim of being the anticipated "Messiah".

in Islam, he is a prophet who is the son of the Virgin Mariam (Mary) who was born miraculously without a father..
he was sent by God to deliver the religion Christianity..
in Islam he is not a God and he is not a son of God..
he was a healer, he had some sort of powers to heal sick people with his touch i think,,, give vision back to the blinds and give hearing back to the deafs..

***who is jesus to other religions?***
In the Muslim holy book Jesus is listed as a prophet.Needless to say Jesus and his family were Jewish. And if you read up on Buddha his story is very similar to Jesus'.The resurrecting savior is a recurring theme throughout history.
Have a pleasant day.

Buddhists consider him a bodhisattva, an enlightened soul who returned to earth rather than go on to Nirvana in order to teach and lead more to enlightenment.
ETA: Actually this would make him a Buddha (as separate from *the* Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama), as the title "Buddha" means "enlightened one" and is still bestowed on people today.
