If so has the prices went up tremendously? I purchased books from there a few semesters ago. One of the books I purchased was a A&P that cost almost 300.00 in the school bookstore, I got it on Amazon for around 60 something 73 bucks at the most. Yesterday I went to the school store to price books and compare them online and the prices were basically the same, less a few dollars, did anyone else notice the inflation of prices? and does anyone no of any other online bookstore?

it all depends on what you are buying. I on one hand have NOT seen a price change.

Prices depend on who is selling the books. Often if you can manage to buy the book from another person who has used the book, you should be able to get it for much cheaper. However, sometimes companies sell their books through amazon and will charge you almost as much as your bookstore if not more. Try to get used ones, you can usually get em for hundreds of dollars less. Otherwise, the book you're trying to get is just very expensive or new. Inflation has nothing to do with it.

I priced one textbook on Amazon recently and it seemed about the same as the bookstore.

That's exactly why I'm into 'used' books. It's a crime what they charge. I wish I had a good answer, but I think that college students are 'stuck' with $300 books!

If you go to www.bestbookbuys.com you can search for books and they give you all the prices with the shipping costs, great for college books.
