Start with clean, mostly dry (but still just a little damp) hair. Then, it depends on the length of your hair and how tight you want the curls.

For shorter hair, take small sections at a time, twist them with your fingers, then curl them around on themselves and secure them with a bobby pin. Leave them in until your hair is dry. When you take them out, you'll get those baby-doll curls.

For longer hair and those loose tendrel curls that are very popular right now, brush all your hair together into a ponytail and twist it until it feel tight, then twist it around on itself and secure it with a clippy until and let it dry.

I've always preferred methods that don't require heat (curling iron or hot rollers) because I hate burning myself, or anything that can get tangled up (like those spongy rollers) because they make the hair frizzy.

If you're planning over-nighter curls, then use mousse and curling pins!

If its a quick thing, then curl your hair with a curling iron and put in extra-hold hair spray!

I bought flexi rods and setting lotion. I roll my hair and sit under the dryer. It comes out like shirley temple curls. You can pull them apart to make it fuller.

u could also use mousse. its not that bad for ur hair, and there's lots of varities. but i would suggest doing this only for special occassions, not every day.
good luck and remember true beauty lies within.
