I had this very painful problem in my heel. I went to physio and he worked on it then told me to press the heal on something hard, like the edge of a hearth and work it for a while. Do this every day. My partner also worked on the heal and eventually the pain went and has never returned. The Doctor can also help by giving an injection, like the one given for tennis elbow, but I think the above was the better option. Hope this helps you

I have had Plantar Fasciitis for about 4 years now. It started in my right foot, and I tried exercises (from the doctor and podiatrist) which didn't work. The painkillers made no difference, nor did the special insoles for my shoes. The ONLY thing that helped was steroid injections (I've had 3 the last 1 being a year ago) I've just lost 1st (14lb) in weight, and that's helped a bit. I try to alternate wearing trainers with wearing heels (not too high, but perhaps 2in) My feet (I've had the condition in the left foot as well, for about 8 months) are worse when I get up after sitting down for more than about an hour. I try to get up and have a walk round as often as possible, even if it's only into the other room. I also sit with legs outstretched straight in front of me, and pull my toes towards me, so that the sole of the foot is stretched. That sometimes helps. Too much driving affects my feet, so I've tried to cut down on the miles

I had it for a long time - I don't know if it was a coincidence, but I noticed improvement when I started rolling my bare foot around on top of a golf ball - someone else recommended this to me and it seemed to work where various drugs failed. I also stretched my foot on a regular basis.

that's ridiculous, who is your chiropodist.......daffy duck?. it is when the fascia separates from the bottom of your foot. this needs to re-attach, then stretching and strenghthening needs to take place.
email me if you want more.
