Otherwise what does it matter is somebody throws either book out on the trash or places it on a toilet seat for example...I'm not suggesting they do this but just whether the book would know about it? and why would it matter to anyone because we know that it does matter to some...

I didn't hear any complaining when I wiped my butt with pages I tore out of my copy of my Bible and my copy of the Quran, so I guess they don't have any emotions. The toilet paper was relieved though.

They are only inanimate objects, but are treated with respect by believers because they believe the books contain the Word of God.

I think some Muslims believe the Koran is the Living Word of Allah.

Well because if you allow people to disrespect your beliefs they will continue pushing the envelope until they are degrading you, it just about keeping respect in check and not letting people over steps the limits of good taste

if a person had any love and respect for God , he would never never think about this, if your loved one sent you a letter , would you think about using it as toilet paper ? of course not , so why do you dare to do this with something that the Almighty God has sent to you ?
