the balance is dead center should have mentined that sorry. it is wierd i only noticed it the other day so that is why i think it may be blow however my cabling as a little dodgy in the back so i am wondering if it is grounding out some where i may take a look at the wiring also

my right speaker is actually closer to me i drive a right hand drive car as i am from england

swap the cable and see if the problem is shifted. If it does not, your right speaker is looking for 'retirement'.

If you are driving, the left speaker is closer to you than the right, so you may have to adjust the balance to favor the right speaker if you want them to sound equally as loud.

It could be blown or a wiring fault or the balance.

I know it's a silly question but does one sound louder than the other when you're sitting in the middle of the car.

Switch seats and see if it is still louder. Don't laugh I did this and found I need to adjust the input to my amp to compensate for a well-dampened car. The passanger thought it was just the oposite. LOL!

so is the left one louder when your in the driver seat
cuz thats what side your sitting on.
another way to tell if its blown its to mess with your faders and see if each individual speaker is working
