How can something that tastes so good be bad for you? Pizza with proper toppings contains all of the four basic food groups and is actually considered one of the healthiest foods you can eat. Pizza eaten in excess is what is considered bad for you. As with any food and just about anything in life the problems arise when you go to excess. As for pizza dough being bad that is just low-carb dieters spreading urban legends.

pizza is basically high in processed carbs from bleach flour in the dough and fats in the olive oil used in the making of the dough and the fats in the cheeses and the meat toppings how ever the onions green peppers and tomatoes hold nutrition at no apparent cost to ones health if u wanted u could make a healthful pizza ask one of diet chefs on foodnetwork.com...

There is alot of fat in pizza, the cheese and meat are loaded with it not to mention all the carbohydrates in the crust. Sticking with a veggie thin crust wouldnt be as bad.

American pizza with stuffed crust, extra cheese, all types of meat, and a liter of coke is bad for you. Go to Italy, have a pizza...that type is much healthier!!

Pizza itself, or any food is neither bad nor good perse.

Pizza made with WW crust and baked with veggies and skim milk cheese can actually be good for you.

It is all the meats and fried crust that tends to make it bad.

As there is usually 1000kcal or more per pizza which is a half or 2/3 of your daily allowance depending on your gender.

I think because of the cheese, but you know the tomato sauce is actually good for you because it has more lycopene in it than eating actual tomatoes does.

Also, some people get bad-for-you toppings such as pepperoni, sausage, etc. which have lots of fat and no nutrients.

I don't know its baked not fried and contains several of the food groups, meat, bread, dairy hmmmmm, I say its the new health food!
