My Bichon Frise has two large spots filled with puss on his nose. Is this a fungi infection, should i take him to the vets or will they just disappear with time?

Get you dog to a vet. The pustules could be caused by foxtails or something else that has burrowed into the skin; or it could be caused by an allergy or any of several different skin conditions such as:

Actinomycosis and norcadiosis Actinomycosis and norcadiosis: Uncommon skin infections with abscesses and draining sinus tracts that discharge pus and respond slowly to treatment.

Cellulitis or abscess Cellulitis or abscess: Painful, warm, reddened skin, or pockets of pus beneath the skin. Look for a cause (such as a foreign body, bite wound, self-trauma from irritative skin disease).

Puppy acne Puppy acne: Purplish red bumps (pustules) on the chin and lower lip. Not painful. (See this story)

Puppy strangles Puppy strangles (Juvenile pyoderma): Painful swelling of face (lips, eyelids, ears), followed by rapid appearance of pustules and draining sores. Occurs in puppies under four months of age.

Only your vet can determine the cause and get your dog the treatment it needs. Good luck!

Go to the vet. Pus is a sign of infection and having it on the nose is not real common. Better to have it checked!!!

Definitely take him to the vet- pus means infection. Perhaps he needs a little antibiotic.
