This doesn't always happen but I usally have to take Tylenol PM to sleep because my idiot doctor won't consider Ambien or anything safer. Soo since I don't have any, how can I sleep?!

Benedryl is sold over the counter. Try 1/2 tablet 2-3hrs before bed. Warm milk works, believe it or not. Try listening to talk radio through small earphones, NPR carries BBC all night, and its quite monotonous.

It is suggested to do 20 minutes of relaxation in a different room first. T hen back in your bedroom add Classical music, sleep aid in a pill and DROP the desperate energy - it brings on tension which we all know is the opposite of relaxation. Create a Black Hole in your mind's eye and deep steady breathing until you so relax that 6 hours have passed and your alarm clock is waking you up.

If you aren't in pain, just take 25mg of Benedryl. That's the ingredient in Tylenol PM that makes you sleepy. Don't take more than that because in higher doses Benedryl can hype you up.

Good luck!
