I thought the Romans made him die.

Seem to remember Jesus asking his dad why? Therefore it was not Jesus that made the decision he only carried out God's plan.

But it is only a book with no proof in it that Jesus ever existed. The Romans have no record of him in the extensive archives whilst recording at Length the antics of other Jews at the time claiming to be the Messiah!

But it is a faith not a fact so believe what you will.

Rom 5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
Rom 5:7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Rom 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
Rom 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

In other words, He did it to bring us back into a relationship with God.

Because as it is stated: For God so love the world that he gave his ONLY begotten son.

Study the words and you will see, don't take them apart. But just learn what a powerful love god has for us. To love someone just because and to forgive you for every sin that you have done. Man what a high. He died to save us and so that he would show us that he forgives no matter what we have done.
To show that he gave up something so priceless. We have learned that love is better then hatered.

bachlava_9, I don't have time to find the scripture,it is in new testament. JESUS said he came to redeem many. (not all), he also said, before healing the woman who touched the hem of his garment that he was come for the childern of Israel.Jesus's life was a living example of "A" spiritual pathway. Many"SAINTS" have "DIED"to their sense of personal self, being "RAISED"into spiritual union with GOD,and as jesus did ,lived to serve GOD and the CHILDREN OF GOD. These things they did YOU will do also, and even greater. LOVE Whistle Britches

thats a though question to answer. I cant really answer that question but i'm a christian and i believe Jesus died for us because He wants us to have the choice to live for Him and we will go to heaven or we can can choose to not follow Jesus and we would go to hell. Thats just my thinking of that question.

Jesus died for us because he Loves us so much and wanted us to have a chance to enter heaven. If he didnt die for us, we would all be living in hell.

Either he was suicidal himself or his dad thought that toruting him would be good for us. With the fires of hell, it seems like God likes the torturing people thing.
