I live in Los Angeles California, and the highest paying employer here is Kaiser starting salary for new phleobomist is around $16 an hour. Other hospitals pay around $13-14, while outpatient clinic is around $10 an hour.

Many years ago my friend worked per diem (when needed) at a hospital. She was making $8-$9 an hour. So I'm going to assume it is more now

I never worked as one, but I worked in a medical lab, and I think it was minimum wage. Which is like $5.65/hr or something.
