When has the republican party stood on any of these platforms? Did Rice or Powell push for racial hatred? I don't recall voting for a resolution to kill innocent people. Once again, another liberal who uses rhetoric to not make a point and just make people mad instead of discussing an issue.

Don't confuse Republicans with Christians. Some people that call themselves Republicans are NOT Christian in any sense of the word. They made up an agenda and some misguided Christians jumped on it, but that doesn't speak for all Christians. The Republicans are not taking things straight from the Bible, and yes, some things they have taken out of the Bible they have taken out of context. The Bible does not tell anybody to make up any rules as they go along, and if you see or hear of anybody doing that, the Bible says you should get far away from them(but you do have to read the book first to know this). It does not tell anyobdy to hate minorites(or anybody for that matter), to kill children, and it praised the fact that God allowed them to win wars, not the wars themselves. Keep in mind also, that when they strayed from God, they lost their wars and got sold into slavery(something to think about with the current war going on). But please, do not make the mistake of saying that all Christians are Republicans because that is simply a lie.

Where do regular Republicans say or write they believe those things? I have no dislike for minorities - I have lots of friends who are minorities of all types. I do not praise war or kill children. By the way, all children are innocent. I do want to be save from terrorism & people who sole purpose is to kill me & my way of life. I do not get to make the rules if so you would be banned from making stupid remarks. God decides who lives & dies.
You assume all Republicans are Christians but I have Jewish, & Hindu friends who are Republicans. I have Republican friends who have never attended church. Your bigotry says more about you than your words ever could.

The Bible says what ever the person quoting it wants it to say, like Nostradamus it is pure BS, after the 10 commandment part and only a few of those really count...
Thou shalt not kill
Honor thy Mother and Father
Thou shalt not covet...
The rest are fluff

Unfortunately, the Bible is misunderstood, it seems people use it to their advantage when it suits them, that has been my experience anyway. No offense to anyone, I do believe in God and read the Bible, I just don't quote it. To me, religion is a very personal thing. Peace be with you.

I'm working on a new website that I hope will annoy both Republicans and Democrats and get everyone to thinking about what Jesus REALLY said. Bookmark the first link below and keep checking it for updates. :-)

Here's a good one for you: My congressman from GA, Lynn Westmoreland, was yakking about the importance of the 10 Commandments on Colbert when Colbert asked him to name the 10. Of course, Westmoreland couldn't even make it through 5. He stumbled around and got maybe 3 out, then just gave up. Typical Republican demagogue...
