Do you do a lot of weights at the gym? You need to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. The 45 minute thing is not true, but don't over 60 minutes at a time.
Do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Good luck and stick at it.

If you're lifting weights as part of your regular exercise regimen, you're packing on muscle. Your diet is a big factor, too. Find out what you're really eating. What's a heavy breakfast? What's a light lunch and dinner?
Eating 5-6 healthy, light meals throughout the day is better than eating 1 heavy meal and 2 light meals.
Here's something to consider: If your pants feel a little loose around the waist, but your shirt (or blouse) feels a little tighter up top, I wouldn't worry about it.

You say you're eating a heavy breakfast,,, you may not need that much. It might be better to eat a medium breakfast, and then put in a light snack later on. And eating soups helps too, and fiber,,, are you counting calories?
It's true about the muscle mass, You probably look more toned up than you did,, and you can try measuring with a tape measure because it could be that you've lost some inches even though not pounds yet.
Keep at it.

Check your measurements. You've probably lost inches. Don't worry about your weight. Muscle weighs more than fat - I found that out a couple of years ago when I was doing pretty much what you're doing - and I got so discouraged because the needle on the scale seemed to be stuck in one place. Now I bypass the scale and keep an eye on how my clothes fit.

You are probably putting on muscle. Are you getting smaller around the waist? Are your clothes fitting different? Don't worry so much about weight, but WHERE the weight is. You want to lose the fat and gain the muscle.
If thats not what is happening, you are still eating too much.

Go easier on the breakfast. Have a granola bar, an 8 oz glass skim milk, and a piece of fruit. For lunch make sure you get your greens, protein, and vitamins. Drink lots of water... Snack on raw fruits and veggies. Avoid salty snacks. For dinner, have a light dish of grilled meat, rice, and veggies. Watch your portions, too. Each portion should be the size of your hand.
And remember... Too much of a good thing is always bad for you.

If you find clothes fitting looser, congrajulate yourself, because you're on of the lucky ones! It simply means you are gaining muscle and losing fat at the same time (not many of us can do that)
If that is not the case, I am guessing you're eating more than you previously did. Remeber, even healthy foods if eaten more than wht the body requires, will turn to fat

Hi
Try this simple plan it really works so here goes,
If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.
Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/m7ckx
Good luck

Muscle weighs more then fat. You are toning up and probably noticed you are losing inches but gaining weight. It is perfectly normal. It will level out soon, to where you won't gain anymore weight. Congrats!
