Another good trick is to take a flea collar, cut it into pieces, and put a piece of the flea collar into the vacuum bag. This will ensure that the fleas you vacuum up get killed and do not just crawl out of the vacuum.

get bombs put one in each room of your house if the rooms big then put 2 bombs in the room while the bombs are going off take your cat to a vet to get a flea bath when you go home with your cat after about an hour or two from the time you get home you will need to vacuum your rugs to pick up all the dead fleas and flea eggs, immediately after you vacuum through away your vacuum bag in case any flea eggs didn't die. the next day you'll have to put flea medicine on your cat the best brand of flea medicine is called Frontline you'll need to put it on your cat once a month until summer is over. if you don't want to do all of this ever summer then don't let your cat outside and put flea medicine on it May through September.

If you have rugs shampoo then .They make flea bombs that often work. And you vets carry a good spray that you can spray on your floors furniture ect. I do hope you have put frontline or advantage on your cat. Your cat needs to get the fleas off of him also. Fleas in time will make a cat ill and even cause death..

Flea Bomb.. o_o
Should be able to find them in the pet section of the supermarket. Also vacuum a hell of a lot so they stay outa the carpet.. and use flea powder and flea collar on your cat etc.

Vacuum your house daily. You will have to change the vacuum bag daily. If you vacuum daily for 2 weeks that helps in clearing out adult fleas and their eggs. Place cedar scented moth balls in every room. Wash the cats with Dawn dish washing liquid. The Dawn will help keep fleas off of the cats. Good luck

Try using Advantage on the cat. You will need to use it monthly in order to keep the fleas off.
For the house, there is a spray called Frontline(available at vet clinics) use it in the carpets and on bedding. I use it weekly.
Then bring your pet indoors and dont allow it to go outside again.

raid makes a fumigator, it is in a blue package and says fumigator not spray, you can find them at walmrt. or home depot they work good, you need one for each room, there are three to a package and are not real expensive, make sure kitty is out of the house for a few hours, it takes a couple of hours to settle, wait for a day then vacum carpet, it doesnt leave a residue which is good because cats are highly sensitive to bug sprays, repeat in about a week... and vacum daily ...bathe kitty if possible this helps out a lot, talk with your vet, as cats are very sensitive to many dips, sprays etc:
