It's a nice nepolitan sponge. How much marzipan would we need?

You couldn't get away with a cake-shaped bomb! Possibly after screening, but would you want to eat it after a dog's been snuffling around it?

Well if they are allowing food and drink to go on, you could style the cake in a cartoon bomb, like those round black balls with a fuse sticking out of the top, with maybe acme written on the side lol

You would proabaly be better off making it there or calling a bakery there and having it made. How you going to deal with a cake in a crowd with luggage and on a plane without it getting messed up.....it will probably be destroyed even IF the airline lets you have it. Save your time energy and money for when you get there.

I love marzipan! Will it be shaped like those big black ones on dangermouse? Cool! It should be OK as long as it doesn't exceed the 30x45cm size limit!!!!!

(for the record - you are allowed to take solid food on board!)

You take the cake. Why don't you take your uncle for a flight on his b-day? Perhaps you could pass out grenade shaped cup-cakes to the other passengers; get everyone involved. PULL PIN, THROW CUPCAKE!

Yeah, you should carry that on the flight. I don't know about the marzipan (or any other filling) since you can't bring liquids or any liquid-like item on board.

with all the hell we are going thru right now, with the anniverysary of 9-11 coming up and the terrorists attempts.....go right ahead. you'll deserve anything that happens to you. that is a very incondiserate question. if you are determined to have the cake, make it when you get there so that others don't have to see it.

I would make the cake when you got there. I definately would not take a cake on an airplane. Well unless you want to go to jail. Does he have to disarm it to blow out the candles??? HEHE.

Oh sure, those guys at security have such a great sense of humour, they would love it.

I am sure they would be chuckling every time they hit you with a lead pipe!
