of course! i have a cat and hes very jealous which is y we no longer have 2 cats. even tho he used to be younger than the other cat, he didnt like her and always wanted all the attention. my sister found 3 kittens at her job the other day nd she would've brought 1 home but our cat would've probaly been mean to it so she decided not to. he hates to share us with other pets or ppl which is how my aunts dog is also.but besides that we love our cat very much nd wouldnt trade him for any other cat. so its normal if a cat gets jealous, especially for attention.

Yes - I have experienced the wrath of a jealous cat first hand. Whe I first moved in with my boyfriend, his cat squatted over my feet while I was lying in bed - made eye contact - and proceeded to pi$$ on me !! She also used to hiss everytime I came into the room...every time! We now have an understanding, but are never going to be buddies - after all, I have stolen her man !!

Yes cats get jealous, and they will try to make you jealous too. When ever I am petting the dog my cat will jump up next to my boyfriend and insist on being petted all the while he is staring at me.

I know my cat has a severe bout of jealousy when I took my computer to the flat we were living together - he was furious. He even walked and sat on my keyboard a couple of times - and it's of the variety that has a "Power" button. Guess what happened...
Now, after watching a number of movies from my lap (well, I was watching the movies, he was taking lap naps), he is sort of reconciled...

Definitely! My siameze totally adores me and hates to share me with the other pets and my husband. She tries to lie in between my husband and me in bed and has been known to attack him if he tries to touch me - of course we chase the cat off the bed and don't let her win but I have to admit I find it quite amusing. She sank her claws into his bottom once - (I know this is wrong to laugh) but he chased the cat around the whole house with pans of water in a rage making a complete mess - ...and what did I do.. I was paralysed by laughter.. which made him more angry who came out on top? ...the cat did. My husband did see the funny side of this... eventually.

Cats do get very jealous and they usually take a bit longer to forgive you.....Dogs on the other hand have a shorter memory span therefore they will forgive you within minutes....
Hope this helps you my friend.

Absolutely. My cat Leo is terribly jealous. He gets mad when another cat tries to lay down beside me in the bed cause that is where he lays and he doesn't want the other cats laying beside me. He has even chased them off and tried to scratch them. Of course I scold him for this but he is one jealous kitty!

I think cats are much more jealous. We have a cat who goes crazy if you pat the dog in his presense. He attacks the dog (that is a lot bigger than himself) like a ninja
