"God" means any deity. Zeus is a Roman god. Osiris is an Egyptian god. Vishnu is a Hindu god. The OT states that the god of the Israelites was called Yahweh, or Jehovah. The word "god" is not literally Yahweh alone.

I think alot of people are worried about being politically correct. In other words, people question things like " How do I know his name is GOD?". But, you are right. I myself pray to "Our Creator", which for me is the truth. I don't think it really matters what you call him in ignorance, our creator knows what is in our hearts. Also, if you believe in our creator, regardless of religion, "He was not with us, He is always with us!"

If somebody says god is with me, then be sure that it is out of religious brainwash. There is surely a God but He is nowhere, but within all. visit http://www.sugway.com
