Over the ages, many innocent people have died because of the wars caused by religious quarrels. I know religions have their own point, I am not against any religious groups or beliefs. But please let me understand a bit of this matter.

The core principles for all religions are do unto others as you would want done to you, I do believe the two religious groups today Muslim and Christianity are competing for world religious power,I see Christianity as a more moderate religion opposed to the Islamic religion, I believe the Islamic religion is the most dangerous threat to the world today because of it's rapid growth, it really is a religion out to convert the world, now if one is looking to blame here it would have to go to those that wrote the Koran and the bible, I don't believe they could have ever realized the consequences of what they have written has done to our world, I believe it has brought us to the beginning of a holy war now going on in the Middle East and because of that God help us all.

I do not think people should fight over religions. But if you carefully analyse, when we study in the school/college, we have all type of friends with various religious following. We still remain friends. The problem is with politicians. In the world of politics, they find some subject or other to create friction to their advantage. Religion is one of their favourite subject but the followers do not understand this and play in their hands. This is how innocent people get killed. In some religion, during religious sermons, people are incited to fight against other religion when the religion itself expresses peace and brotherly affection. The politicians also misinterpret religion to misguide young people.

Can you give an example? Other than the Muslim Holy War, I'm not sure of any other religions doing this.

Soldier of God, your picture looks like Marjoe Gortner. Enough with the Crusades speech.

Because...as Richard Dawkins says...
"Disagreements between incompatible beliefs cannot be settled by reasoned argument because reasoned argument is drummed out of those trained in religion from the cradle. Instead, disagreements are settled by other means which, in extreme cases, inevitably become violent."

Religions ultimately converts in to forming cults and groups, which then wants to retain a separate identity for people following that cult. And wanting more and more people to emulate themselves. And forcing others to do so.

you know my friend, all religions are teaching same principle, love your fellow man, but the man never understands himself, he is not a power, the bible says there is faith for tree, if we cut that, it will grow once again but we once died, then we live vanity life, why should we fight each other for simple reasons, none of religions teaches this to fight .

It gets blamed on God. No matter what religion is in question. My take on it is pretty simple. When we die God is going to shake his finger in our face for forgetting the most basic of human laws. Love one another as you wish to be loved.

It is easier to hate someone when you are doing it for something other than ignorance. "God said to kill XXX because he doesn't believe what we do".

I don't think religious groups should fight each other. But they think they are doing it for their God.
